Waqar Younis Congratulate Imran Khan on Winning ‘Fight’

During Imran Khan’s arrest, cricketer Aounis stood as one of the few who supported him. However, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted Khan temporary relief by providing him a two-week bail in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.

The arrest of Khan by the Rangers at the premises of the Islamabad High Court sparked widespread protests throughout the country, resulting in several casualties.

The court also issued an order preventing authorities from arresting Khan in any new cases until May 17. Khan had applied for temporary bail in four cases in Lahore, and the court granted him bail until May 22 in the Zille Shah murder case. Another bench also barred authorities from arresting him until the morning of May 15 while considering a bail petition related to three terrorism cases.

The corruption case in which Khan was arrested involved a property tycoon. Initially, his plea for release was rejected by the high court, which deemed his arrest as lawful. However, the Supreme Court later ordered his release on May 11, citing a violation of rules by law enforcement agencies during his detention.

Since his removal from office last year, Khan has been highly critical of the coalition government.
