Wasim Akram Hopes to See Cricket ‘Evolve’ in Saudi Arabia

Wasim Akram, a great bowler and former captain of Pakistan, has suggested that Saudi Arabia could create a competent cricket side because the country frequently hosts competitions.

He also expressed his desire to see the sport “grow” in the Gulf country.

In February of this year, Akram traveled to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, for the first time. There, he met with Prince Saud bin Mishal, the SACF’s chairman, to talk about the future of cricket in the Kingdom.

Akram discussed the rising cricket talent in Saudi Arabia and expressed his desire to return to the country even though he had not had the opportunity to watch Saudi cricketers play.
