Senior journalists and bureaucrats had a lengthy and candid conversation with former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa during which he acknowledged that the military establishment was responsible for the ouster of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
According to General Bajwa, his friendships with Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were the highlights of his professional life.
The former army chief claimed that because of Nawaz Sharif’s confidence in me, He gave me the responsibility of improving ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and other topics, such as his relationship with the establishment and his governance, were discussed during the meeting.
General Bajwa quietly acknowledged that the military establishment was responsible for Nawaz Sharif’s ouster in response to some inquiries.
Regarding Imran Khan’s trip to Russia, the former army chief stated: “When I arrived at the meeting, Asad Umar and the rest of the cabinet agreed that there should be a trip to Russia. I agreed as well because we don’t do business with Russia, and it doesn’t stand with us in international forums.
Imran Khan is currently spreading a new lie, that he was the prime minister, and the army was controlling the country. Imran Khan, however, used to make all of the decisions by himself. He continued, “He chose ineffective, useless people who were unable to deliver.
