You Might Soon be Able to Send Upto 2GB of files on WhatsApp.

As the giant WhatsApp is going to provide advanced functionality to move ahead from the Telegram App. Reportedly, the WhatsApp is contemplating to expand the limit of the File size, on it’s system from a modest 100 MB to 2GB.

This Messaging Platform is conducting a preliminary test, in Argentina and allows the chosen users latest Beta Version of the App, to transfer files up to 2GB in size, as per WABetaInfo. This would be applicable for both, the Android and the iOS users, due to the limitations of this experiment, a very few individuals, and it would be hard to say what’s the exact passing criteria.

WhatsApp would then grow wide in all the other regions of the world with alot more users, depending on the App’s previous history, the implementation could take a few weeks.

If the Size limitation for this App increases, would be the second time it has occurred, before this, the size limitation was just 16 GB, but it extended subsequently to 100 MB. The limitations also fluctuate with each platform, for instance the limitations for Android is 100 MB, and for iOS, it is 128 MB.
