Former Pakistan cricketers, including Younis Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, and Sohail Tanvir, met with Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The meeting is part of the search for a new chief selector with a strong understanding of contemporary cricket demands.
Following Inzamam-ul-Haq’s resignation, Tauseef Ahmed temporarily led the selection committee, but it has now been disbanded.
Younis Khan or Mohammad Hafeez are being considered for the role, and a decision is expected soon.
The new selection committee will discuss the Test squad composition from November 20 to 24, and a training camp will be set up for promising domestic players.
After the Australian Test tour, Pakistan has a series of 19 T20Is leading up to the T20 World Cup in June.
The PCB aims to appoint a chief selector well-equipped for the challenges of modern cricket.
