Twenty-two Iranian crew members have arrived in Pakistan and were received by local authorities at Karachi Port before being transferred to the Consulate General of Iran in Karachi for further processing.
According to officials, the crew members completed emergency entry formalities upon their arrival. Pakistani authorities coordinated the necessary procedures to ensure that the process was completed smoothly and efficiently before the group was handed over to Iranian diplomatic representatives.
The transfer was carried out through official diplomatic channels as part of ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and Iran on consular and humanitarian matters. Authorities said all required arrangements were made to facilitate the crew members during their transit.
Officials explained that the sailors will remain under the care of Iranian consular officials while the next stage of their travel and documentation is completed. Necessary administrative support is also being provided to ensure their onward journey proceeds without unnecessary delays.
The latest operation is being viewed as another example of humanitarian and diplomatic coordination between the two neighboring countries. In recent months, Pakistan has assisted in several cases involving the transit and support of foreign nationals through official government channels.
Authorities emphasized that close coordination between immigration officials, port authorities, and diplomatic missions helped complete the process in an organized manner. They added that such cooperation remains important for handling international maritime and consular matters.
Officials also noted that Pakistan remains committed to fulfilling its humanitarian responsibilities and maintaining strong diplomatic communication with neighboring countries when assistance is required.
The successful arrival and transfer of the 22 Iranian crew members reflects continued cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in managing cross-border consular affairs while ensuring that international procedures and humanitarian considerations are properly observed.
