PM’s Aide Romina Khursheed Alam Urges Lahore Qalandars to Promote Climate Awareness During PSL

Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, has encouraged Lahore Qalandars to use the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season to raise awareness about climate change and promote sustainable living.

During a meeting with Qalandars CEO Rana Atif, Ms. Alam highlighted the importance of using PSL’s large platform to engage young people in climate action. She suggested activities such as school visits, fan meet-ups, social media campaigns, and programs led by players to educate and inspire fans to adopt eco-friendly practices.

Rana Atif appreciated the idea and expressed the team’s commitment to the cause. He said, “Sports have the power to inspire, and we are eager to play our part in creating a greener Pakistan through this collaboration.”

The initiative will officially launch during the PSL season and include creative content and events to address pressing climate challenges. The aim is to use the excitement and popularity of cricket to encourage fans to take small but meaningful steps toward protecting the environment.

This collaboration between Lahore Qalandars and the climate change team hopes to set an example for using sports as a platform for positive social change. By combining cricket with climate action, the campaign aims to inspire Pakistan’s youth to take responsibility for the planet’s future.
