UAE Resumes Visit Visas for Pakistani Citizens

The United Arab Emirates has resumed issuing visit visas to Pakistani citizens through registered travel agencies. This brings relief after months of delays and uncertainty that affected many travel plans.

UAE embassy officials confirmed that ordinary passport holders can now apply for visit visas via authorised travel agents. Applicants with complete documents will have more chances. Stricter background checks remain in place for safety reasons, but the process has become smoother.

Travel industry experts say family visa applications have improved the most. Families travelling together or visiting relatives already living in the UAE now receive faster approvals and higher success rates. Earlier, many applications faced long waits or higher rejection chances.

Passenger numbers from Pakistan to Dubai have also risen. Daily flights carried about 400 passengers by late July, more than double the earlier summer figure of around 170. This shows growing confidence among travellers, though numbers are still below past peaks.

The UAE is home to nearly 1.8 million Pakistanis and is a major source of remittances for Pakistan. Travel agents advise applicants to use only registered agencies and submit full documents to improve approval chances.
