Pakistan’s Readymade Garment Exports Hit Record $4.18 Billion

Pakistan’s readymade garment exports reached a new high of $4.18 billion in the financial year 2025-26. This marks the highest annual earnings the sector has ever recorded and a 5.5 percent rise from the previous year.

The strong result shows growing global demand for Pakistani apparel and better competitiveness in international markets. Over the past ten years, readymade garment exports have more than doubled, climbing from $1.97 billion in FY16 to the current record.

The garment industry remains one of Pakistan’s largest export sectors. It plays a key role in earning foreign exchange, creating jobs, and supporting the national economy. Major markets include the United States and European countries such as Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Industry experts link the success to improved manufacturing capacity and rising demand for finished clothing. They believe continued investment in modern technology, product innovation, and efforts to enter new markets will help the sector grow further.

This record performance strengthens Pakistan’s position in the global apparel trade and offers a positive outlook for future export earnings.
