The Indian government has given permission to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to host the Pakistani team in the upcoming South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup.
Both federations have confirmed that they have received the necessary approvals, and the AIFF has officially invited the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and completed the required paperwork.
They are now working on expediting the visa process through the Pakistani embassy in Islamabad. While the Pakistani Foreign Office has allowed the team to travel to Mauritius, a decision regarding their journey to India is still pending.
Pakistan’s team, known as the Men in Green, is scheduled to play in Group A with Kuwait, India, and Nepal, with their first match against India. The AIFF General Secretary, Shaji Prabhakaran, has previously assured a safe environment for Pakistan’s participation in the SAFF Championship.
