There’s a possibility of a big decrease in the prices of petroleum products next month. This could mean more affordable fuel prices for everyone. It’s always a relief when prices go down, especially for something as essential as fuel.
According to officials from the Ministry of Finance, the price of petroleum products is expected to decrease. This is because the value of the rupee has increased, which can have a positive impact on the cost of importing petroleum.
Starting from October 1 for the next 15 days, the price of petrol is expected to decrease by 11 rupees 98 paise per liter. Additionally, diesel may become cheaper by 9 rupees 17 paise.
It should be noted that on September 15, the government implemented a significant increase in petroleum product prices. The cost of petrol skyrocketed by Rs26 per liter, which was quite a substantial jump. It was a challenging time for consumers, as it resulted in higher expenses for fuel.
