Babar Azam Confirmed Pakistan Cricket Team Captain till World Cup

Babar Azam has been confirmed as the captain of the Pakistan cricket team for all three formats (Test, ODI, and T20) until the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.

Despite rumors and speculation about a potential change in captaincy, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed confidence in Babar Azam’s leadership abilities and performance. The decision to retain Babar Azam as captain is primarily based on his impressive track record and strong leadership skills.

He has led the team to numerous victories across all formats, including a historic Test series win against South Africa earlier this year. Additionally, Babar Azam currently holds the top ranking as a batsman in T20I cricket and has consistently performed well for Pakistan in all formats.

The PCB aims to provide stability to the team by allowing Babar Azam to continue as captain until the World Cup. This decision will also provide him with an opportunity to further enhance his leadership skills and work closely with the team in preparation for the prestigious tournament.

The PCB believes that Babar Azam’s experience and capabilities as a captain will be instrumental in leading Pakistan to success in the World Cup.
