Babar Azam Jumps to 5th Position in Latest ICC Men’s Ranking

Following an incredible performance in the opening Test match against India, Ollie Pope, the batsman for England, reached a career-high rating in the most recent ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings. Pope shot up to 15th place in the rankings with an impressive 196 in the second innings. Kane Williamson continues to hold the top spot.

Australia’s Usman Khawaja rose to eighth place, while Babar Azam took fifth. Ravichandran Ashwin tops the bowling rankings, and England’s Joe Root, ranked fourth all-rounder, achieved a career-high rating thanks to his contributions with the spin bowl against India.

After an outstanding performance on a changing surface in Hyderabad, Jasprit Bumrah has risen from fifth to fourth in the bowler rankings. Meanwhile, after taking six wickets in the opening Test match against England, R Ashwin has solidified his place at the top of the rankings.
