Byco Petroleum “Pyara Pakistan, Hamara Pakistan” Campaging; Celebrating 74 Years of Perfection, Diversity and Unity

Byco Petroleum Pakistan, one of Pakistan’s largest energy companies, commands a dominating position in the country’s oil industry, and is well-positioned to benefit from the surging growth in Pakistan. It not only holds a dominating position in the country’s oil refining space but also has significant refined products marketing and distribution operations. The company operates two refineries in Mouza Kund in Hub, Balochistan totalling a design capacity of 156,000 barrels of crude oil per day, more than any other refining complex in the country. Byco has Pakistan’s largest crude oil storage capacity as well. Byco owns over 400 retail stations located all across Pakistan where it directly sells refined products to the end-users. The company also owns Pakistan’s first and only Single Point Mooring facility, or SPM, which is a floating terminal anchored in the deep sea off the coast of Balochistan.

As we are approaching towards Pakistan’s Independence Day, Byco recently rolled out a campaign, Pyara Pakistan, that portrays the positive side of Pakistan by highlighting the country’s key aspects – invaluable freedom, a rich and resilient culture, stunning landscape, and luscious food. The initiative aims to spread a message of optimism, hope and unity in solidarity with Pakistan’s vast ecosystem. In a country where a deep understanding of the prevalent diversity is perhaps the only common thread that ties its people together, Pakistan is a magical experience that nobody would want to miss.

As more and more people get vaccinated and virus-related fears subside, travel activity for holidays and leisure will climb. Pakistan has been blessed with expansive scenic views and breathtaking natural beauty that can rival any of the world’s top travel destinations. During the pre-pandemic days, Pakistan’s tourism industry was going from strength to strength, attracting millions of people from other cities as well as foreigners. For example, in 2018, Pakistan witnessed a 70% increase in the number of foreign tourists. This contributed around $2 billion to the exchequer, and Pakistan was just getting started. The rapid spread of the coronavirus and ensuing travel restrictions, however, virtually brought the tourism sector to a standstill. But a revival is currently underway after the economic conditions improved, millions got vaccinated, and families from all over the country who have been living under a lockdown finally got out and traveled to their favourite destinations. Popular places such as Karachi’s beaches, Lahore’s parks, Swat Valley, Murree, Hunza, and Gorakh Hills have been swarming with millions of tourists, including many foreigners. As the atmosphere continues to get better, the tourism industry will once again witness a boom, driving progress and prosperity in the country.
