FBR has agreed to purchase 1,010 Honda City 1.2L CVT cars from Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited for an estimated total of Rs. 6 billion.
The purchase will be done in two stages. The first stage will involve an upfront payment of Rs. 3 billion for 500 cars, with partial payment for the remaining 510 cars. The rest of the amount will be paid after the first batch of cars is delivered.
FBR plans to make the first payment once they receive the pre-receipted bill. The delivery of the vehicles is scheduled to take place between January and May 2025. The first batch of 75 cars will arrive this month, followed by 200 in February, 225 in March, 250 in April, and the final 260 in May.
The cars come with several extra features, including a navigation system, reverse camera, high-quality interior, free periodic maintenance for up to 20,000 km, and a four-year or 100,000 km warranty.
Additionally, FBR has requested a tracking system to be installed in each car, which will come with a one-year service charge and a discounted renewal subscription fee.
This procurement aims to enhance FBR’s fleet of vehicles, offering them modern features and reliable services for several years, ensuring the smooth operation of their tasks.
