Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer Breaks MrBeast’s Record for Most YouTube Views in 24 Hours of 85 Million Views

The Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) trailer, released 22 hours ago, has swiftly become a phenomenon, amassing an astounding 85 million views on YouTube within this brief period. This not only surpasses the previous 24-hour view record held by a MrBeast video but also stands out in the gaming world, excluding music videos. Notably, the leading spot for 24-hour views belongs to BTS’s “Butter” with 108 million views.

Anticipation for GTA 6 has been mounting for over a decade since the last installment, GTA V, hit the scene in September 2013. GTA V’s colossal success, earning Guinness World Records for highest revenue in 24 hours, attests to the fervor surrounding the franchise.

Despite Rockstar Games’ initial plan to unveil the trailer on a Tuesday morning, an unexpected leak on Twitter prompted an early release, accompanied by efforts to remove the leaked version. In response to the leak, Rockstar addressed its audience on Twitter, garnering 1.1 million likes and 82 million views. As the gaming community eagerly awaits the next chapter in the Grand Theft Auto saga, the trailer’s rapid online traction underscores the immense cultural impact of the franchise.
