If you need to go to the airport, there are different parking options available at airports across the UAE. Driving yourself can be convenient, especially when taxis are hard to find or if you will only be away for a short period.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) has three terminals with different parking charges. Terminal 1 offers a premium car park (Car Park A) for a 24-hour rate of Dh125, with an additional Dh100 for each extra day. For the economy area (Car Park B), the 24-hour rate is Dh85, and an additional Dh75 is charged for each additional day.
At Terminal 2, the premium car park (Car Park A) charges Dh30 for the first hour and Dh15 for each additional hour. In the economy area (Car Park B), the rate is Dh20 for the first two hours and Dh5 for each additional hour.
Terminal 3 has a uniform rate for all parking levels, with prices ranging from Dh5 for a 5-minute stay to Dh125 for a 24-hour period. Each additional day incurs a charge of Dh100.
Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) is the only major UAE airport that offers free parking in both the arrivals and departures areas.
At Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), the charge for a whole day of parking at Terminals 1 and 3 is Dh240, while at Terminal 2 and the Garden Parking, it is Dh120. Please note that a 5% value-added tax is added to these rates.
Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) has different rates for short-term and long-term parking. Short-term parking charges range from Dh16 for 1 hour to Dh48 for 4 hours, with an additional Dh11 for each extra hour. Long-term parking is priced at Dh95 per 24 hours, with a penalty of Dh2,000 for exceeding 30 days of parking. Lost ticket charges incur a fee of Dh200 in addition to the parking fee.
These parking fees may change, so it’s always a good idea to check the latest rates before heading to the airport.
