Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced financial assistance for the families affected by the tragic roof collapse at a tuition center in Kahna.
According to the announcement, the family of each of the 14 children who lost their lives will receive Rs. 2 million in compensation. In addition, every injured victim will be given Rs. 500,000 to help cover medical treatment and recovery expenses.
The announcement was made by Punjab Chief Minister’s Adviser, Zeeshan Malik. He said the provincial government is committed to supporting the affected families and ensuring they receive the assistance they need during this difficult time.
The roof collapse resulted in the loss of young lives and left several others injured, deeply affecting families and the local community. The government expressed its sympathy for those who suffered in the incident and said it stands with them as they recover from the tragedy.
