McDonald’s Murree Opened Publicly for the Stranded Tourists, Provides Food & Medicines

At a time when a massive snowfall pummelled the area on Friday, McDonald’s Murree opened its doors to the stranded tourists, providing them with much-needed warm shelter, food, and medicines.

Food and medicine were delivered to those trapped in the snow, including men, women, and children, as well as visitors throughout the night. They were allowed to remain inside until the situation improved.

McDonald’s’ act of kindness received a lot of appreciation and praise from the public. Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication, said that McDonald’s set a precedent by assisting the affected people during a tough period.

“I personally visited the shelter above McDonald’s and observed families, women and children, as well as the elderly. McDonald’s provided them with a safe haven. Food was being provided for them. Heating arrangements were also made,” Gill further stated.
