Pakistan Beats India by 8 Wickets in U19 Asia Cup

In a thrilling U19 Asia Cup match held in Dubai, Pakistan exhibited a formidable batting display, successfully pursuing a challenging target of 260 runs against arch-rivals India with eight wickets in hand. Despite the early loss of opener Shamyl Husain, Pakistan’s batsmen showcased composure and skill throughout the chase. The pivotal 110-run partnership between Shahzaib Khan and centurion Azan Awais for the second wicket provided a robust foundation for the team.

Azan Awais’s century, complemented by half-centuries from Shahzaib Khan and Saad Baig, played crucial roles in securing Pakistan’s victory. Captain Saad Baig, along with the centurion, ensured an unbeaten stand that sealed the win for Pakistan. This triumph propels Pakistan to the top of Group A with two consecutive victories, underlining their dominance in the tournament.

On the other hand, India, despite commendable contributions from Adarsh Singh and Uday Saharan, faced their first defeat in the competition. The match showcased the competitive spirit of youth cricket in the region, setting the stage for an exciting remainder of the U19 Asia Cup.
