The Minister of Federal, Shaukat Tareen claimed that by the end of this year the production of Sugar would probably be increased by two million tons, with an outcome recorded as 7.5 billion in the last year.
The Federal Minister, stated in one of his tweets that, in a result of an enormous increase in Sugar production, Pakistan had returned to being a sugar surplus country after a period of deficit.
“The production of Sugar, is most probably to be increased by 2 million tons, as compared to the last year to 7.5 Million tons. As a result, after years of deficit, Pakistan has reverted to being a sugar surplus country.”
“The previous Sugar Mills Prices are now expected to Rs81 per Kilogramme. Comparatively lesser than the prices of last year,” he stated.
