Pakistani Fans Crossing Fingers for Rain to Secure a Draw Against India today

The high-anticipated Asia Cup 2023 match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan was halted due to rain on Sunday. With Pakistan struggling at 69/3 after India put up a formidable total of 356/2, Pakistani fans are now praying for rain to wash out the rest of the match on Monday.

The match is being played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. After winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bowl first and powered India to 356/2 courtesy centuries from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. In response, Pakistan got off to a shaky start losing Imam, Babar and Rizwan early. More rain followed, forcing players off the field.

According to weather forecasts, there are high chances of rain on Monday as well in Colombo. This has got Pakistani fans crossing their fingers for heavy overnight showers. They hope the match gets abandoned due to rain to avoid the humiliation of a heavy defeat.
