The Pakistan vs. New Zealand match was a lot of things for cricket fans all across the world: it was hugely entertaining, a test of nerves, and a revelation that we’ve been undervaluing Haris Rauf as a bowler up until now.
Rauf took four magnificent wickets on Tuesday night, and since then, people have been rushing to Twitter to send apologetic memes.
Despite the fact that Pakistan’s batting line struggled in the second half of the match, we were still able to win, thanks in part to Haris Rauf’s four wickets against New Zealand.
As soon as Rauf began to impress us with his skills, apologies began to be issued. The man was instrumental in keeping our hearts from breaking, and his detractors began crumbling left, right, and centre.
If there were any concerns about Rauf’s bowling ability before the third wicket, they were dispelled after the fourth.
