Pakistan’s expected playing XI against New Zealand in must-win World Cup clash

Pakistan’s cricket team, often referred to as the “Green Shirts,” is riding a wave of momentum and aims to extend their winning streak while bolstering their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals in the ICC Cricket World Cup. After a comfortable victory over Bangladesh in their previous match, Pakistan is expected to maintain the same playing XI that delivered a convincing 7-wicket win.

One of the key factors in Pakistan’s recent success has been the stellar return of Fakhar Zaman. He replaced Imam-ul-Haq and made an immediate impact, scoring an impressive 81 runs off 74 balls, which included seven powerful sixes. His aggressive batting style and partnership with Abdullah Shafique, who contributed 68 runs, have solidified the team’s top-order batting.

Given the excellent form of Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique, it’s unlikely that Pakistan will make any changes in this department. The playing XI is expected to include top players such as captain Babar Azam, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Salman Ali Agha, Usama Mir, M. Wasim Jr., Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf.

With this cohesive and in-form lineup, Pakistan is determined to continue their winning streak and increase their chances of advancing to the semi-finals, making them a team to watch in the ICC Cricket World Cup. Their fans are eagerly anticipating more thrilling performances from the Green Shirts in the upcoming matches.
