Air Karachi, a newly launched private airline, is getting ready to start flight operations within Pakistan. The airline has officially received its Regular Public Transport (RPT) license from the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, which allows it to operate passenger flights across the country.
This new airline is supported by some of Karachi’s most successful business leaders. It is being led by retired Air Vice Marshal Syed Imran Majid Ali, who brings years of aviation experience to the team. The airline plans to begin its services with three aircraft that are being leased and has already secured an initial investment of Rs. 5 billion.
The idea behind Air Karachi is to improve air travel within Pakistan by offering reliable and affordable flight options. The airline hopes to connect cities that are currently underserved and provide passengers with a better travel experience. The long-term goal is to expand operations internationally once domestic flights are running smoothly.
Well-known businessmen such as Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, Arif Habib, and several others have invested in this project. Each of them has contributed Rs. 50 million, showing strong support from the private sector. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) has also given its backing to this initiative.
Air Karachi sees itself as more than just an airline. It aims to become a symbol of economic independence and national progress. By focusing on important values like reliability, affordability, and quality service, the airline hopes to make air travel easier for everyone and contribute to the overall growth of the aviation sector in Pakistan.
