PM Imran Khan ordered a 15% raise in the salary of Frontier Constabulary and Rangers servicemen on Tuesday. He made the remark while speaking to soldiers during a visit to Naushki, where members of the armed forces, including an officer, were killed in a terrorist attack last week on February 2.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of the Army Staff, has also arrived in Naushki district.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the top commander would spend the day with forces and meet with those who successfully repelled the onslaught in Balochistan.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will meet with security officers in order to bolster their morale. Fawad Chaudhry, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, announced the postponement of the cabinet meeting in a tweet on Tuesday.
The visit was intended to honour the unsung heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the country, as well as to express sympathy with the armed forces in the wake of recent unrest in the southwest.
According to other reports, the premier will travel to the province capital Quetta and Naushki today, where he would meet with state officials including the Chief Minister and Governor. Following the successful operation against terrorists, Khan will be briefed on the security situation.
