PM Shehbaz Sharif Terms Balochistan Progress as Government Top Priority

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that the coalition government aims to help Balochistan to work along the provincial government and local elders to make a detail plan out. Prime Minister visited Balochistan and his consent was that the progress of Pakistan in directly involved to the peace, stability and progress of Balochistan. He maintained during the visit to Gwadar, he witnessed how the PTI government miserably failed the people of the area.

He recounted his visit to Gwadar and saw how the PTI government had miserably failed the locals living there.He said that even after spending billions of rupees and valuable time, the government of Imran Khan could not complete any plan to solve the water and electricity problems of the local people who made huge sacrifices for Gwadar airport.

He said that no upgradation has been done at the port and thus no big cargo ship can anchor.Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that he has ordered the early completion of Gwadar University, airport and installation of desalination plant for clean drinking water to solve the major problems of locals.

Shahbaz Sharif also announced that in the first phase, the federal government will provide 2,000 boat engines to fishermen through lottery. The Prime Minister said that the federal government will enroll 500,000 more poor people as beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support Programme which will provide 100% cover to the poor people of Gwadar.

The delegation includes Minister for Defense Production Sardar Israr Tareen, Minister of State Hashim Notzai and Members of the National Assembly Khalid Hussain Magsi, Zubaydah Jalala, Ehsanullah Riki, Rubina Irfan and Professor Dr. Shahnaz Baloch.
