Punjab Govt. Approves Plan for 5 New Cement Plants

Tentative orders to set up five new cement plants in the province have been issued by the Punjab government. A special meeting of the provincial cabinet was chaired by the Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar, at which the decision was taken.

The new cement plants will be set up in Dera Ghazi Khan, Mianwali, Khushab, and Jhelum, according to the provincial government. For the new project, an expenditure of Rs. 200 billion has been allocated.

The dismissal of additional charges for the late registration of motor vehicles was also accepted by a special meeting of the provincial cabinet. This will encourage individuals who were unable to register between April and October this year to register their vehicles accordingly due to the country-wide lockdown.

The cabinet also declared its decision to formally declare the zoological gardens of the Wildlife Parks at Vehari, Bahawalnagar, Loui Bhair, Rawalpindi, and Bansara Gali.

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister of Information Punjab, told at a press conference in Lahore that the provincial government had recently agreed on a policy to recruit instructors and teachers for schools in remote areas of Punjab. Detailed reports have yet to be disclosed on newly approved projects.
