he Pakistan Cricket Team’s former captain’s wife, Sania Mirza, has been roped in as the mentor of Royal Challengers Bangalore for the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL), to be played in Mumbai from March 4 to 26.
Sania stated it was a “pleasure” to be a part of the RCB setup when she participated in her final Grand Slam at the Australia Open in January. Sania Mirza is “excited” to work on the mental aspects with young Indian talent.
“I was a little surprised [at being offered a mentorship role], but I was really excited,” Mirza said.
“I want to make young girls believe sport can be one of their first career choices.” “I want to help the next generation believe in themselves so that no matter how much the odds are against them, they can achieve their goals.”
