This initiative allows visitors from various parts of the world to experience the rich heritage, warm hospitality, and breathtaking landscapes of the kingdom. The eVisa program streamlines the visa application process, making it more convenient for tourists from the included nations.

This initiative has generated excitement worldwide, as it offers a streamlined and more convenient visa application process for visitors from 63 eligible countries. Among these countries, several Asian nations have been included in the eVisa program.

  1. Azerbaijan: Located in the South Caucasus region, Azerbaijan is known for its rich history and natural beauty.
  2. Brunei: This small Southeast Asian nation on the island of Borneo is renowned for its pristine rainforests and cultural heritage.
  3. China (including Hong Kong and Macau): China, with its vast landscapes, historic landmarks, and diverse cultures, is a major inclusion. The special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau are also covered.
  4. Japan: Japan, an East Asian island nation, offers a unique blend of ancient traditions and modern innovation.
  5. Malaysia: Malaysia is a diverse country known for its stunning landscapes, including rainforests, beaches, and the iconic Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

However, it’s important to note that not all countries are part of this program, and Pakistan is one such nation excluded from the list. Pakistani tourists wishing to visit Saudi Arabia must still adhere to the traditional visa application process, involving a visit to the relevant Saudi mission and meeting all the necessary requirements.

The eVisa program offers a one-year, multiple-entry option, permitting tourists to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 90 days for various activities, including leisure, family and relative visits, events, and Umrah (excluding Hajj). While this is a significant step in promoting tourism and international engagement, it’s important to understand that the program may not cover all types of visits, such as studying.
