Students to Ride Free on Attock’s New Green Bus Service Across Three Routes

Students will travel free on Attock’s newly launched Green Bus service, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced as she formally inaugurated the project. The service has 15 buses operating across three routes in the city.

Maryam Nawaz made the announcement during an inspection of the bus service. She said the project would make journeys to colleges and universities easier, particularly for students, who would not have to pay a fare to use the Green Bus service.

The routes connect different residential areas of Attock with educational institutions. Those connections are part of the project’s provision for travel between the city’s neighbourhoods and places of study.

The Punjab government says the initiative is intended to give residents better public transport facilities while bringing down the cost of everyday travel. The free-travel announcement for students accompanies that broader aim of improving transport in Attock.
