Wahab Riaz Gave Reasons For Retirement

Fast bowler Wahab Riaz, who has retired from international cricket, has said that he still wants to play for Pakistan, but the fact is that it is difficult, not impossible, I don’t have a place now, Pakistan has good fast bowlers.

While giving a press conference in Lahore, Caretaker Sports Minister Punjab Wahab Riaz informed about the reason for retirement and said that Shaheen Afridi and other good bowlers are not my place anymore and the fact is that I will not be able to play anymore.

Wahab Riaz says that there is no emotional decision, I believe in reality and the reality is that I can’t play now, it should be a trend to have a farewell match policy for players, I have no regrets, I have always tried to give my hundred percent.

The Caretaker Minister said that I have a lot of achievements in the game. I am proud of it, I started playing cricket in 2000, I had many dreams in life and one dream was to play for Pakistan, I got success and also failure.

Wahab Riaz says that I was focused on the World Cup 2023. I am thankful to my family and PCB, now it is time to say God Hafiz, thank you for playing international cricket, thank you Pakistan Cricket Board.

The fast bowler said that thanks to Waqar Younis, Aqib Javed, Mohammad Akram they have worked with me a lot, Mohammad Akram has supported me a lot, I will play leagues, I will not leave cricket, 2011 World Cup changed my life, not competing with Shoaib Akhtar, the spell against Shane Watson will be memorable.
