Want to Win Matches for Pakistan with My Batting: Shaheen Afridi

Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is looking forward to win matches for Pakistan with his batting. The left-hander impressed everyone with his batting skills in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL). He scored 133 runs at a strike rate of 168.35 in eight innings during PSL 8.

As the team prepares for the upcoming limited-overs series against New Zealand on home turf, the 23-year-old Shaheen Shah Afridi is working hard on his batting skills during the ongoing training camp in Lahore.

“I had interest in batting since U19 days (about 2 and a half weeks) but never did that properly. However, that has changed recently. During my rehab, I did a lot of batting practice,” Shaheen said.

“I’m gradually learning the art of batting so that it helps Pakistan. I would like to win matches for Pakistan regardless of my batting position,” he added.
