During a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the prime minister said Pakistan would continue to play a constructive role in encouraging dialogue and helping create conditions for lasting peace. He emphasized that diplomacy and cooperation remain important tools for resolving regional challenges.
Sharif described Pakistan and Iran as brotherly neighboring countries with strong historical, cultural, and religious ties. He said both nations share a common interest in promoting peace, stability, economic development, and regional progress.
The prime minister also appreciated Iran’s leadership for choosing dialogue and engagement during a period of regional uncertainty.
He acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan’s diplomatic and defense leadership, saying their contributions helped support discussions and strengthen communication between different stakeholders.
The talks focused on a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation. Both sides discussed opportunities to expand trade, increase investment, and strengthen economic partnerships.
