Pakistan Navy delivered a strong performance at the All Pakistan Independence Day Open Gold Cup Canoeing Championship 2026, winning eight gold medals and 60 points at the event held in Lahore. The championship was organised by the Punjab Canoeing Association as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
The competition brought together teams from several departments and regions, including Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Police, Punjab, Lahore District, and different sports clubs. The event was held at the Lahore Canal near Kingston College and concluded on August 17.
Pakistan Navy’s eight gold medals placed it at the top of the competition, underlining its strong position in water sports. Punjab and Pakistan Police also put up competitive performances and secured the next positions in the standings.
