Peugeot Lucky Motor Corporation (PLMC) has finally made its presence known in Pakistan’s webspace by launching an official website and a Facebook page, following numerous whispers in the market about the brand’s launch. According to the website, PLMC intends to make the following vehicles available to the general public in Pakistan:
2008 Peugeot;
The brand gained a lot of traction in Pakistan before its launch due to several sightings of the eye-catching Peugeot 2008 on Pakistani roads.
It’s a subcompact crossover SUV that’ll likely compete with the Kia Stonic from Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) and the MG ZS.
It will be driven by a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 131 horsepower and 220 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque through a 6-speed automated transmission to the front wheels.
Peugeot 3008:
With the significant growth in popularity of compact crossover SUVs, every automaker is attempting to make a name for themselves in this sector. The Peugeot 3008 is a compact crossover SUV that competes with the Hyundai Tucson, MG HS, Proton X70, DFSK Glory, and Kia Sportage, among others.
The 3008 includes a night-vision camera, autonomous emergency braking, mild-offroad settings as part of the Advanced Grip Control (AGC) feature (All-Wheel Drive variants only), Hill-Descent Control (HDC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and a few more high-tech driver-assist technologies.
Peugeot 5008;
Despite the fact that the market for midsize 7-seater crossover SUVs in Pakistan appears to be limited, Peugeot appears to be gearing up to compete in the heavyweight division with its 5008 SUV, a midsize 7-seater crossover SUV that will compete against the Kia Sorento and Toyota Fortuner.
The 5008 has the same convenience features as the smaller Peugeot SUVs, including 7 passenger seats, a new 10′′ HD central touchscreen, a 12.3′′ head-up digital instrument panel, heated, ventilated, and messaging front seats, and multi-zone temperature vents for back-seat comfort.
