Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb Urges Journalists to Adopt Modern Technology

The journalists were urged to get adapted to the modern pattern of the domain on Sunday by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Maryum Aurangzeb.

These strategies were expressed to the participants of a two-day training workshop based upon mobile journalism, which was held at the Information Service Academy (ISA).

The drastic changes in electronic and social media were highlighted by the Information Minister, and she emphasised the importance of mobile journalism in the quick provision of event coverage.

She also added that the organisations that are directly affiliated with the ministry, which include PTV, APP, and Radio Pakistan, are taking steps to make the reporters more and more familiar with the modern requirements.

“In 2018, we created the entire curriculum of the Information Service Academy,” as said by Maryum. She also added that it is important for ISA to be equipped with modern technology.

She also stated that virtual training  should be held for the Ministry of Information officers and Pakistani missions abroad.

She remarked that she was happy to see a number of women taking part in mobile journalism workshops head to head with the male journalists. “Women should be encouraged in every field.”

The two-day mobile journalism workshop was organised by the Press Information Department.

At the closing ceremony, Principal  Information Officer Mubashir Hassan, Director General Information Services Academy Saeed Javed, officials of the press club and a large number of journalists attended the closing ceremony.
