Mr. Nadeem Aslam Malik is a former Microsoft Country General Manager, a former Director of Oracle, a member of the PM Task Force, a former IBM Cloud Lead, and a seasoned expert in the industry. After his visit to GIKI, he said in a message that he had seen the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology facilities. He said it had world-class infrastructure and a world-class campus. He noted that GIK holds high value in the academic world.
“I would compare GIK to no less than the Stanford of Pakistan.”
After multiple sessions with them, he was impressed to see the highly qualified faculty. He also praised the engagement with the students. He said that the students he engaged with were terrific. They were working on unique projects and jobs.
The students flourish and nurture the facilities available. The labs are essential facilities GIKI has equipment from all over the world, including the most costly and latest equipment, which is open to students not only to do more learning but be ready for the world’s future.
He said that tomorrow’s workspace requires a specific skill set, and GIK prepares its students for it. Research is the key, and it is good to see that the research level is also being encouraged and relatively made mandatory for the undergrad level. Most institutes think the research is limited or starts at the master’s level and onward, but having this done from the product was excellent.
